The controller of personal data is the company Localhand s.r.o., with its registered office at Železničiarska 111/16, 92401, Galanta, Company ID: 54041252, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court in Trnava, entry no.: 520/2022_RSP, (hereinafter referred to as the “controller”), which processes your personal data obtained through the website www.localhand.eu

When processing data, we are governed by Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”). In order for us to process your order, you must provide us with the following information: name and surname, exact address including the country where we will send the goods (or the address that should be listed on the invoice), telephone number, e-mail address (we use it to identify you and also to communicate with you), addresses other than the billing address (in case you wish to deliver the shipment to a different address than the billing address), if you are purchasing as a company / sole proprietor, in addition: business name, company ID and VAT ID (for issuing an invoice and correct accounting).

We protect your data

All your data is secured against any misuse. We store this data on our servers. We protect the personal data database from damage, destruction, loss and misuse. We process your data for the purposes of processing and delivering your order. This data is also necessary for our accounting and billing system. We do not send unsolicited e-mails. We use your e-mail address to send confirmation of receipt of your order, its processing and shipping status.

Your personal data that you provide when purchasing is completely confidential and will not be provided to third parties under any circumstances. Personal data will only be used for necessary actions related to processing your order.

Upon your written request, your personal data will be deleted from the database and Localhand s.r.o. will no longer process it.

By entering your email address in the "Newsletter" box, you voluntarily give us your consent to inform you about these discounts and offers and to contact you for marketing purposes.

Why do we collect and store your personal data?

In order to sell you our goods and at the same time smoothly process all your orders, we need to collect your personal data (for correspondence purposes and/or detailed provision of services). However, we undertake to you that the information we collect and use about you will be used only for this purpose. In the case of contacting for marketing purposes, we will contact you for further consent to the processing of personal data, if this is not a legitimate interest.

Does Localhand share your data with other intermediaries?

We may transfer your personal data to third parties who are contractually agreed with our company during the cooperation with you. All third parties with whom we may share your data are obliged to store this data securely and use it only to perform the service they provide to you on our behalf. This applies in particular to the parcel services of GLS Slovakia. At the moment when the intermediaries no longer need your personal data to provide this service, they proceed in accordance with Act 18/2018 Coll. If it is necessary to transfer your sensitive personal data to a third party to provide the service, we will do so only under the conditions of obtaining your consent, unless we are legally obliged to do otherwise.

How do we use the data we collect about you?

We, as Localhand s.r.o., process – i.e. collect, store and use the personal data provided by you in a manner that is in accordance with Act 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. We will strive to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date and will not store it for longer than necessary. The controller is obliged to store information in accordance with the law, for example information required for income tax and audit purposes. How long certain types of personal data should be stored may also be regulated by specific requirements of the business sector and agreed procedures. Personal data may be stored in addition to the specified periods also depending on individual business needs.

Can I request information about what personal data the company processes about me?

If the company processes and stores your personal data, you can request the following information:

  • Contact details of the relevant Data Protection Officer/DPO.
  • The purpose of the processing, as well as the legal basis for the processing.
  • If the processing is based on the legitimate interests of the organization or a third party, information about those interests.
  • The categories of personal data collected, stored and processed.
  • The recipients, or categories of recipients, to whom the data are disclosed.
  • If the company intends to transfer personal data to a third country or to an international organization, information about how it ensures this. The EU has approved the transfer of personal data to certain countries that meet a minimum standard of personal data protection. In other cases, the company will ensure that specific measures are put in place to secure your personal data.
  • How long the data will be stored.
  • Details of the rights of data subjects to rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing.
  • Information about the right of data subjects to withdraw consent at any time.
  • How to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
  • Whether the provision of personal data is a legal or contractual requirement or a requirement necessary for the conclusion of a contract, as well as whether data subjects are obliged to provide personal data and the possible consequences of not providing such data.
  • The source of the personal data, if not collected directly from data subjects.
  • Any details and information about automated decision-making, such as profiling, and any meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and expected consequences of such processing.
